The Story – When Pigs Fly
It had been a very quiet night on Stufti-Friends Farm. All at once there was a loud crash! Then there were wild squealing sounds coming from the barnyard. Rooster was so startled he almost forgot to crow. A few seconds later, Rooster crowed twice as loud as usual. Almost instantly, there was shouting from within the barn.
“What’s wrong?”
“Is there a fire?”
“What is going on? Does anyone know what is going on?”
Pigwing was in the barnyard racing around in circles as fast as he could. When Pigwing got up enough speed, he took a great leap in the air. He spread his legs straight out from his very chubby sides. With each leap, Pigwing let out a tremendous squeal of sheer delight.
It was amazing how high Pigwing could jump, but he was so chubby that he rocked back and forth for a few seconds after each landing. Suddenly, he was at it again! Pigwing picked up speed as he made one complete turn around the barnyard. He took another leap high into the air.
“I’ve done it,” Pigwing shouted. “I’ve done it! Look everyone. At last I can fly.”
